2016 COMICON is upon us

Well, this is the first year in 10 years I won't make it to the Comic Con. I haven't been working for the industry in the last few years, so my PRO status expired (and tickets keep going up). I may go for a day, if i can find a pass. Otherwise, its just back to the drawing board, with a renewed vigor, to finish childrens book projects and other commissions.

I'm working on pinstripes again. one hurdle for me is having good designs down. one trap to fall into is making the same pattern over and over again.  Now i just need to master paint mixing....

childrens books! working on it again

Here's the first page I've completed.  Or redone, actually.  Recap: I illustrated a childrens book when i was 13, and submitted it to 12 publishers with no success.  I'm touching up the artwork, and working on how to publish this myself online. 

Its easy to get discouraged, but I'm committed to making this work.

Its paper bag day, so I'm getting in the habit of drawing on a daily basis again.  Its also pecan pie day, but that's not easy to sketch :)

Ok, getting back in the swing of things.  This is a beginning idea for a stained glass window that I collaborated on, as a gift for a relative.
